I’m pretty sure the bed had the most comfortable mattress I’ve ever slept on. The room had an eclectic, industrial decor, with concrete floors, all of which i liked. More than ample towels. Heat worked well on a very cold night. It’s on a pretty piece of property, and even though it’s on a busy street, the rooms are insulated from the road. The rooms are arranged in a horseshoe shape so it feels less like a motel and more like a little village. My only suggestion would be a soft cozy rug in the bathroom, where your feet could use a buffer from the concrete floor. Easy enough to fix. I really enjoyed the place!

Nice Getaway

Was a fine experience. Not many surprises here! Very small but very serviceable room. Nice location and right on a lovely stream. There was no hot water the next morning.

The Brooks was a wonderful place to stay in a very central part of Columbia county. Near Butternut ski resort, Great Barrington Mass and Hillsdale has some really great new cafes and a great vibe.

Brooks motel was great. The place is very intelligently laid out and decorated. It has a very satisfying minimalism — it has everything you need and nothing you don’t. The place was also spotless and the bed was very comfortable. Great value and convenience.

We had a lovely stay at the Brooks motel! The hosts were friendly and responsive. There was a lot of space for our dog to run around as well. The location is great – lots of food options nearby and a gas station down the street for late night snacks. We’ll definitely be back!

Positive: Location was great and room was great for what we needed- a place to gather during NYE festivities Negative: The room was 55degrees when we arrived and took almost 6 hours to reach 68 degrees which was frustrating

It is a nice place to stay, it is clean and cozy. The first day we did not have hot water, it was a really cold day and the water was extremely cold. They were very responsive and they were trying to fix the issue but it was a little late so we had to take the bath like that, I was dying, it was freezing. The next morning everything was back to normal so we enjoyed the stay a little more.

Great location close to Catamount for skiing! (about a 7 minute drive away). Have a few restaurant choices nearby as well. The motel is minimal with basic accomodations but we didn’t need it to be anything more than that, just a base for sleeping overnight since we left skiing the next day and could get to the mountain early. Perfect as a one or two nighter if you have activities planned in the area. Host is great and responsive as well. Answered all of our questions beforehand and was friendly. Would definitely stay here again!

Great ski house for groups extremely close to catamount mountain. Rustic interior but a huge house with massive bedroom/upstairs Very responsive and helpful host!

Stayed there for one night for a quick peaceful getaway. Nice quiet place & near everything. Hosts provide with some kitchen equipment, fridge, towels, & even slippers. Hosts communicated with kindness & respect. Many great restaurants for food. We went to Bish Bash Falls which is 10 mins away for a quick hike. Overall great experience at this airbnb.
