Catamount Resort is a four-season resort located just .3 miles from The Brooks Motel! Catamount has some of the most varied terrain in Southern New England. The mountain is a great choice for all levels of snowboarders and skiers. During the warmer seasons, Catamount offers a variety of other sports and has the longest zipline in North America. It is also one of the largest aerial parks in North America!

HGS Home Chef (.2 miles from The Brooks Motel) offers cooking classes almost every weekend. Custom cooking classes are also available with advance planning. You’ll find more info on the HGS website.  Be sure to visit their historic Hillsdale General Store while in town.

The Harlem Valley Rail Trail is a 46-mile rail trail that is paved and perfect for exploring the Hudson Valley on a bicycle. The trail can be accessed easily from The Brooks Motel. The trial offers beautiful scenery and takes you through some quintessential upstate NY towns. We highly checking out the rail trail if you are interested in biking!

Limerock is a well-known track located 30 Minutes from The Brooks Motel. This track offers club racing, track days, driving classes, and more. Guests of the Brooks are welcome to park car trailers on the property; just let us know, and we will make a spot for you. Ski Butternut is another ski mountain that can be accessed from The Brooks Motel. Located close to Great Barrington’s downtown area and about a 20-minute drive from The Brooks Motel. We recommend checking out Catamount Mountain first, but Butternut is another good option if you want to do two mountains.
A great afternoon spent in Hudson, NY, would not be complete without visiting the Antique Warehouse. This warehouse is full of quality and interesting antique vendors. The space spans over 300,000 sq ft and is a blast to walk through and shop for unique items. Many of the vintage items found in The Brooks Guest House were purchased at this store. The Antique Warehouse is about 25 minutes from The Brooks Motel.
Tanglewood is a globally acclaimed outdoor music venue known for its exceptional outdoor music performances, primarily showcasing classical genres but diversifying its summer lineup with renowned artists such as John Legend and James Taylor. If you are lucky, you can also catch the BSO and sometimes Yo-Yo Ma! This majestic venue offers a classic Berkshires setting for a summer evening. Guests often prefer lounging on the lush lawns with a picnic, immersing themselves in the harmonious blend of nature and music. It is located just a 30-minute drive from The Brooks Motel, all on Scenic Berkshires Roads.
